Anna Pot to investigate TALPS diagnostics
Anna Pot, MA Applied linguistics student from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, has just arrived to serve a four-month internship with ICELDA. The internship is a credit-earning component of her course, and the requirement is that it should ideally be done in an organization in which language plays a central role.
She will work under the supervision of both ICELDA’s CEO, Albert Weideman, and its director: operations, Tobie van Dyk. Her duties will include providing support to a joint ICELDA/Radboud University Nijmegen project on developing the diagnostic information of a fourth version of our Test of Academic Literacy for Postgraduate Students (TALPS). Previous versions of TALPS will also provide the empirical material for analyses of especially the writing section of the test to see what diagnostic information is already available.
Anna says: “I am really pleased that this opportunity aligns my internship duties with my studies and look forward to a productive time”. ICELDA is as pleased to welcome her to our ranks.
