ICELDA project associate Sanet Steyn appointed at NWU
ICELDA project associate Sanet Steyn has accepted a post as lecturer in the Centre for Academic and Professional Language Practice at North-West University’s Potchefstroom campus. She will have a range of responsibilities, including course delivery by electronic media. With fellow project associates Colleen du Plessis (who is doing the anchor study) and Johannes Mahlasela (Sesotho), she will continue to be involved in ICELDA’s Home Languages project, specifically in refining the proposed Test of Advanced Language Ability (TALA). She is already an experienced language tester, having designed and refined our Test of Early Academic Literacy (TEAL) as part of her MA study in applied linguistics at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. We are proud of her, and wish her well in her future career.
